Looking to check out a CX conference in 2018 so you can get up to speed on the latest trends and converse with your peers, but struggling to choose which one? Are you on a strict budget and are not sure which conference is the best bang for your buck? If this sounds familiar, this blog post is for you.  

Every year, a huge number of conferences are held to help you dive into the nitty-gritty of the Customer Experience, and this year is no different.  

For our 3rd annual "Must-Attend CX Conferences" post, we look at 8 key conferences that any CX professional should check out to gather the insights you need to get the most out of your CX program.  

To help you pick out the conferences that are right for you, we also provide additional information on each conference based on the agendas they have published at the time of this post.

The 8 must-attend 2018 CX conferences at a glance:

 

Gartner Data & Analytics Summit 2018 

When: March 5 - 8 2018 

Where: Grapevine, TX 

Having the right data in the right hands at the right time not only helps you better understand your CX, but also take effective and customer-centric decisions that drive positive change.    

Hosted by one of the world’s leading research institutions, this conference provides an opportunity for Analytics and CX leaders to engage with Gartner analysts and attend research-driven sessions that focus on several topics focused on various aspects of a successful CX program, including:  

  • Developing a strong data-driven foundation for your CX efforts 
  • Putting in place a governance structure to support these efforts

Adobe Summit 2018

When: March 25 - 29 2018 

Where: Las Vegas, NV

A staple in the CX conference calendar, the Adobe Summit consists of highly-watched keynotes and over 250 sessions and labs tailored to help you gain valuable insights to help you build better experiences for your customers. 

For the 2018 version of this conference, the sessions and labs are split up into 6 different tracks, including one focused on "Analytics & Data Management" and another on "Content & Experience Management", which could prove valuable for Digital Marketers and CX Professionals alike.

Next Generation Customer Experience 2018 (NGCX 2018) 

When: March 27 - 29 2018 

Where: Phoenix, AZ 

NGCX is a 3-day event aimed at senior level CX executives during which key experts will share their insights and host several classes and workshops to help improve the Customer Experience by: 

  • Better understanding and optimizing your customer journey 
  • Making your entire business CX-centric and eliminating silos that are preventing your Customer Experience to flourish 
  • Building brand equity by offering great Customer Experience with every interaction 

 

Oracle's Modern Customer Experience (Modern CX 2018) 

When: April 10 - 12 2018 

Where: Chicago, IL 

You shouldn’t be afraid to leverage emerging technologies if it means that your customer experience will benefit from it. After all, your customers might want to use the latest technologies at their disposal to interact with you.   

Oracle’s Modern Customer Experience 2018 conference showcases a lineup of industry leaders and experts who focus on the latest innovations and technologies in the world of Customer Experience and share their insights on how you can leverage these items to optimize your Customer Experience.  

Note that a detailed agenda has not yet been released at the time of this post, so make sure to keep an eye on this as the date of the conference approaches.  

 

MarTech 

When: April 23 - 25 2018 

Where: San Jose, CA 

A CX program is a shared responsibility across all departments of an organization and requires a sturdy mix of marketing, technology and management for it to be successful.  

The brainchild of Scott Brinker, editor of chiefmartec.com and creator of the annual Marketing Technology Landscape supergraphic, MarTech is a conference that dives deep into the marriage between technology and marketing, taking a technical approach to optimizing the Customer Experience.  

This conference also includes several workshops that focus on managing different marketing technologies.  

If you can’t make it out to the west coast on that date there is also a Boston version of this conference scheduled for October 1st 2018.  

 

CXPA's 2018 Insight Exchange 

When: May 8 – 9 2018 

Where: New Orleans, LA 

The CXPA (Customer Experience Professionals Association) is a non-profit organization that strives towards the development of the field of Customer Experience, whether it's knowledge and insights sharing between its members, or by developing standards and best practices to optimize CX.  

Available to members and non-members alike, the 2018 version of the CXPA's U.S. Insight Exchange offers a great opportunity to share and gather insights from professionals strictly focused on CX.  

Previous versions of this conference have included "Show and Tell" sessions during which CXPA members present to small groups of people the CX efforts they recently undertook that were successful, which provides a chance to be part of an intimate roundtable that you might not find at other conferences. 

 

Forrester’s 2018 CXNYC Forum

When: June 19 - 20 2018 

Where: New York, NY 

Customer Experience is now considered one of the main competitive advantages a business can have. As such, companies must stay ahead of the game and keep evolving their CX program to offer experiences that will attract new customers and make it harder for existing customers to jump ship to a competitor.  

This Forrester-hosted event will include over 60 sessions focused on topics such as:  

  • Mapping your customers' current needs and tailoring your CX program to meet these needs 
  • How to react in the face of competitors who themselves may be trying to boost their own CX 
  • The role and benefits of emerging technologies, such as AI and machine learning, on the Customer Experience  

As well, Forrester analysts will provide in-depth insights into the challenges being faced by CX professionals, and the best practices being used by leading CX innovators.

When: November 12 - 14 2018 

Where: Chicago, IL
